Do you think horse racing is cruelty to animals?
I do not like the horse in the Kentucky Derby had to be euthanized. He did his job as and broke his ankle and that was the end for her. Its on CNN. Are there groups fighting against horse racing? And bull riding? The use of an animal for cruel sport? What do you think?
Today I changed, I was a hypocrite about myself for years and love the horses enjoy watching horse racing. I feel like I've always been a cruel to animals and advcoate strong animal rights, but here I was seeing years of horse racing, for my selfish pleasure never really think that the horses had to endure. Even I had placed a bet on Eight Belles, because I liked the idea that it was one woman against all men. When I was watching TV today, I was happy to think first what blow wow gal these types, then Laster see a few minutes lying on the track and my heart sank and my eyes were filled. Two years ago, when Barbaro was injured I was deeply disturbed, but I can still see the triple crown races. I was a hypocrite in recent years. . And this tragedy in the wake another tragedy yesterday, I read a colt who won last year involved Barbaro injured himself in a race track Derby (Ghost Barbaro?). Fortunately I do not think this colt should be sacrificed, but perhaps for his own fate because their racing days are over and you can live the rest of his life in a green pasture. I really hope that this might make people account (as I did it myself) that these animals have no choice, it is dangerous for this intense lifestyle to a regular daily life of these animals. I am sure many will say that is what horses like to do out and run, convinced me that for years. Still living most of his racing life in a small place, so I think this would be the equivalent a human being in a phone booth, so of course once the horse is on track for training or career morining run like lightining a bottle because they were crampled most hours in a day. It's been three years now with injured horses in horse racing great name, perhaps more people will start realzie how the racehorses of our selfish entertainment and a bigger wallet to the owner of the horses. I do not think the race will never end, the sport of kings has been too long, but maybe, just maybe we can advocate for these animals and not as stressful as it could be a fun day for the horse. RIP Eight Belles got his best effort and your life.
