Stone Painting
Paint or paper the illusion of counter tops?
I try to do something on the laminate countertop that are horrible in the kitchen house we just bought recently. We try not to replace, but we want to give some sort of facelift. I did some research and I care not to tear wallpaper (Paper Illusion) on the counters or spray painting a stone like texture. I am sure that what you tend to be more durable than the other. If anyone has had experience with one of these techniques will appreciate any information. Thank you!
I have some experience with the two methods and is not durable enough for a working kitchen counter. (I lived in an apartment Lot funky again in my 20 and almost tried everything to improve the appearance of countless kitchens). Why not just to relaminated? It's cheap and fast. You can do it yourself or a manufacturer for the fight. My sister had a kitchen with cabinets and laminate countertops island that is actually less monotonous and date. They have a gray speckled granite laminate and paid a guy a few hundred dollars to fully restore the counter, cabinet frames, facades drawers and doors. It seems very sharp. And my ex boyfriend was a contractor in the kitchen that serves to regulate what is for customers in apartments and rental properties. Some of the new Wilsonart and Formica laminates are beautiful and the texture looks like slate, granite, soapstone, and even metals and leather. All that is required is a light sanding the old laminate and then a new layer can be glued directly on it. You can choose a finish which is similar to what he believes that eventually replaced by permanent and then see how you before committing to final installation when you remodel.
