Painting Calligraphy
The style of calligraphy is uniform and was built specifically to proportional spacing letters and words and letters. The name comes from the Greek word for Kailas Beauty and graphein write.

The interest modern calligraphy is mainly the result of the work of Edward Johnston (1872-1944), Professor Central School of Arts and Crafts, London, wrote the text in modern movement of calligraphy, writing and light and Letters (1906), which became the basis of modern graphics. Johnston showed that most medieval alphabets could be reproduced through the proper use of traditional tools, particularly the white feather, and adapted modern needs.
The letter forms have gradually evolved from originals in the form of instruments used in their manufacturing - the flat brush on paper chisel in stone, crayon, clay, and the reed and quill on papyrus and skin.
Application techniques for burnishing gold were taken largely through experiments Graily Hewitt (1864-1952). In 1921, Johnston and a group of students Hewitt, founded the Society of Scribes and illuminators (SSI). The continuing influence of the ISS, including professionals and "lay" members, has spread from England to the Continent and the United States.
